Kazakh President Nursultan’s ‘Bolashak Scholarship Program’ now add global Universities

The Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science recently expanded its list of leading foreign educational institutions which are accessible to the recipients of the Bolashak international scholarship programme.

Prospective students can apply to leading North American, European and Asian research institutions and receive funding from the government. Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Yale, Cambridge and Oxford are among the most prestigious universities on the list. A full list of universities is available on the official website of the Centre for International Programmes, which administers the Bolashak scholarship on behalf of the Ministry.

The Bolashak international scholarship was established by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the 5th November 1993, and to this date more than 12,000 scholarships have been awarded. The purpose of the programme is to train specialists for the priority sectors of the country’s economy. The programme includes both academic studies and scientific internships in leading international universities and companies.
